MDL Mold and Die Components, Inc. was formed in 1998 as the U.S.
distribution arm for a Sao Paulo Brazil based manufacturing company,
Maquinas Danly Ltda. MDL Mold and Die Components is a wholesaler of
Tooling Components and sells primarily to companies already manufacturing
Die Sets or Mold Bases or to Tool & Die Component Distributors here in the
U.S.
Maquinas Danly Ltda., (meaning "Danly
Machine, Inc." in Portuguese), began in 1972 as a joint
venture between Danly Machine Co., Inc. of Chicago, IL and the then South
American representative for Cincinnati Milacron, Marcel Lemouche, a Belgium
national living in Brazil. As a result of this joint venture, tooling
components such as guide pins, bushings, and mechanical springs were produced
and shipped to the U.S. for use in die sets produced by the different service centers. In 1986, the Danly family (who
controlled Danly Machine Co., Inc.) decided to sell their interest in the
company. This decision also resulted in the sale of the European
Division and the South American Division. Mr. Lemouche and his son
Michel, purchased the rest of Maquinas Danly Ltda. (the
South American Division), from Danly Machine Co., Inc.
Today, Maquinas Danly Ltda., or
it's subsidiaries, has manufacturing facilities in Brazil, Germany, France, Mexico,
and its Sales & Distribution facility in the U.S. These manufacturing
facilities supply guiding components to
existing manufactures of Die Sets or Mold Bases worldwide. Because of
the Lemouche family commitment to the Tool & Die industry, these plants and
factories are equipped with the very finest in Machine Tools and utilize the
latest manufacturing practices and information systems. Other
companies talk "World Class", but with MDL, you get the benefit from a group
of companies which ARE WORLD CLASS!
